What we actually are
MindShift Mentors is an Australian practice built on Cognitive Pattern Reprogramming, developed by Rob Edmonds. Rob Edmonds creates every session. He holds a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy and is a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner. Rob practises in New South Wales, Australia. You listen for 15 to 20 minutes a day, whenever suits you, through the app. It is not meditation and it is not a wellness app with a soundtrack. It is a structured method, recorded.

Most business owners Steve meets do not say they are stressed. They say they are fine, just flat out. Then it comes out. The sleep has gone, the jaw is grinding, the fuse is short. He tends to hear it early, because he has spent his whole life working people out.

Rob was nineteen and could not speak in front of a room. Not nervous, genuinely unable, and it was starting to cost him exams. He tried hypnotherapy because he had run out of other ideas, and found it helped. It helped, and it was more straightforward than he expected. That quietly shaped everything after it.

Is there one for you
15 to 20 minutes, headphones in, once a day. No homework, no journalling, and no talking anything through. You listen, and the session is designed to guide the work while you are relaxed.

A splint protects the teeth. The sessions are designed to support relaxing the jaw and settling the habit, and they sit alongside your dentist's advice.

Falling asleep partway through is common and not a failure. Individual experiences vary.

Smoking, drinking, the phone, the thing you have stopped a hundred times. The sessions are designed to support work on the pattern behind the habit. Results vary.

Many approaches ask you to go back through it. This one does not. The focus is on how the memory sits now. It is not a treatment for trauma or PTSD, and is designed to sit alongside professional care.

For the brain that has fourteen tabs open and cannot close one. Not a productivity system. Designed to support focus and the habits around it. It does not diagnose or treat ADHD.

For the tight chest and the conversation you are still replaying at 11pm. The sessions are designed to support a calmer pace of thinking.
Pick the one that sounds more like you.
Where we draw the line
Most of what you need to know about a practice is in what it refuses to do. Here is ours, in writing.
Cognitive Pattern Reprogramming sits alongside your GP, your psychologist, CBT, counselling or medication. It does not replace any of it, and nobody here will ask you to stop something that is working.
We are not doctors and we will not pretend to be. We do not assess or treat conditions. If what you are carrying needs a GP or a psychiatrist, we will tell you so plainly rather than sell you a session.
If today is a bad day, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or 000 in an emergency. We are a daily program, not an urgent one, and we would rather say that than have you waiting on an audio file.
People often assume it is. These are structured guided sessions rather than attention or awareness training, aimed at one specific pattern and time limited.
No going back through the worst day of your life to prove you are ready to move on. The work happens on the pattern running today. That is not a softer option, it is the method.
No contract, no minimum term, no hoops. Cancel in two taps from inside the app.
Some people want a place to talk it all through, and want to go back over how it started. That is a legitimate preference with good practitioners behind it. It is just not what this is. We help with the pattern running now.
The sessions are built for daily use over weeks, not for a single big moment. If you are not going to put your headphones in most nights, we would rather you kept your money.
MindShift Mentors is an independent Australian business.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not place upsells inside your sessions. There are no lock-in contracts.

Why people stay
If you would rather not go back over it, Cognitive Pattern Reprogramming is designed to work with the pattern running underneath the behaviour, without asking you to revisit the event.

Alongside the core library we build programs with subject matter experts in their own field, from ADHD to menopause. Same method, written with someone who knows that particular fight from the inside.

The head starts at the worst hour. The app is already open, on your phone, with over 50 sessions across all twelve pathways. No appointment, no waiting list, no explaining yourself.

Every session is built around a specific pattern rather than a general mood. Forward focused, non-invasive, and it sits alongside anything else you are already doing, including CBT.

Common questions about MindShift Mentors, the method and what it costs.
MindShift Mentors was co-founded by Rob Edmonds and Steve Nelson. Rob holds a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy, creates every session in the library, and sees clients one to one. Steve is Co-Founder and Business Development Manager, and came to the work as a client first. The business is run from Forster Tuncurry, New South Wales, under ABN 49 714 525 048.

Cognitive Pattern Reprogramming is the method behind MindShift Mentors. It is an integrated method drawing on Clinical Hypnosis, Strategic Psychotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, delivered as guided audio you listen to for 15 to 20 minutes a day. It is designed to help people recognise and interrupt unhelpful patterns in the way they think, respond and behave.
No. It is an audio program, not therapy, and it does not replace your GP, psychologist, medication or counselling. It is designed to sit alongside whatever is already working for you, including CBT. We do not diagnose or treat conditions.
No. Cognitive Pattern Reprogramming is a structured, time-limited process focused on one specific pattern, delivered as guided audio rather than as attention or awareness training.
$29.95 a month or $299 a year for the full library. You get seven nights free first with no credit card required, and you can cancel anytime. One to one sessions with Rob are booked and paid for separately.

No. The approach is forward focused. You are never asked to go back through a difficult event to get relief from it. The work happens on the response running today. It is not a treatment for trauma or PTSD, and is designed to sit alongside professional care.
Sleep is one of the twelve pathways. Sessions are designed to support rest and winding down, many people listen at lights out, and falling asleep partway through is common. Individual experiences vary.
Sessions are non-invasive and drug-free, and you can stop at any time. While listening, you remain aware and in control, able to hear what is being said and respond if you choose. Please do not listen while driving or operating machinery. If you have a diagnosed condition, speak to your clinician first. The approach is designed to sit alongside other professional care. It does not alter or implant memories.
Some people notice changes quickly while others find change develops more gradually. Individual experiences vary. The sessions are designed for daily use, and consistency matters more than intensity. If you are not going to press play most nights, it is unlikely to do much.
It will not suit someone who wants a place to talk everything through and go back over how it started, because the method deliberately does not do that. It is also not a crisis service. If today is a bad day, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or 000 in an emergency.

Separate from the membership. Rob Edmonds also offers individual one-to-one sessions, in person in Forster or by Zoom. These are a separate professional service and are not included in the Mindshift Method membership. The membership is self-guided and does not include personal therapy or personalised professional care.

A portion of every MindShift Mentors subscription goes to the Samuel Brett Nelson Kickstart Foundation, set up in memory of Sam, who died in 2017 of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy at nine years old.
Kickstart gives disadvantaged children the chance to do things their families could not otherwise afford. Learning to swim. Picking up an instrument. Getting into a fitness program and finding some confidence in it. Ordinary childhood things that build a kid up and get them into their community, named after a boy who was kind to everyone.
Change should carry further than the person who paid for it. That is why it is built into the subscription rather than left to a donate button.
The Mindshift Method digital program provides self-guided wellbeing, personal-development, behavioural change and pattern-change content. It does not provide medical or psychological diagnosis and is not intended to replace medical, psychological, psychiatric or other appropriate professional care.
Individual Mindshift Method Cognitive Pattern Reprogramming sessions with Rob Edmonds are a separate professional service from the Mindshift Method digital subscription. Rob holds a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy and practises in New South Wales, Australia.
